Fellow Travelers is a professional employer organization, here to help with back office HR functions like payroll, employee benefits, and compliance. Your employer partnered with us to serve as a "co-employer" for tax & benefit purposes. Think of us as an extension of your HR department, who can help with payroll questions, time off / PTO, health insurance and other benefits, along with the taxes/money around those decisions. Am I Eligible & How Do I Enroll?
Full time employees are eligible to enroll in benefits on the first of the month after 60 days of employment.
To Enroll, click "Make Benefits Election".
Cooperation Jackson will pay 25% of the cost of your health insurance (not for dependents). You will pay for the remainder via "above the line" pre-tax payroll deduction.

What is the Health Insurance?
How to Shop for Health Insurance
The health insurance is through United Healthcare and utilizes the "Select Plus" network. It is a "gold" level plan and there is a deductible, then a coinsurance, and an out of pocket maximum (the most you will pay in a year). Doctors, specialists, urgent care, & RX is covered at a co-pay before the deductible. Everything else will not be covered until the $3500 deductible ($3.5k per person, $7k max per family). Then you will pay a coinsurance, until the out-of-pocket maximum of $6000 ($6kper person, $12K max per families).
This plan does require a primary care doctor and has out of network benefits, similar to a "Point of Service" style plan. It also uses a tiered network with "Designated Providers". If you go to a "Designated Provider", your copays / costs will be lower. Please use the United Healthcare website provider search feature to find Designated Providers in your area. Refer to the Benefit Summary for more details.
